April Meal Plan 2023

Happy meal planning friends! If you are like me, you are always wondering what in the world is for dinner! And even though we are always having to make dinner, it seems like I can never figure out something new to make. This is our meal plan for the month of April.

Meal Planning Tip

I plan meals around our my daughter’s extra-curricular activity schedule. Currently, she is in swim lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I know those 2 days need to be easy meals as we eat dinner late. We also have a standing tradition that Friday nights are pizza movie nights, so that is one day I never have to figure out. We have been doing pizza movie nights for at least a year, and we’re not tired of them yet! It’s a fun and easy thing we all look forward to do as a family.

Shop Your Pantry When You Are Meal Planning

Once you have your meal plan, now what? Make a grocery list based off what you already have in your freezer and pantry! That is my biggest money saving meal tip. Shop your pantry! When I see that my pantry is getting a little full, I will make a list of what I have, and build a meal plan around that. After you have your pantry stock items, create a grocery list on what you need. If you do Grocery Pickup, put it all in your cart while you are already in the mindset of meal planning. There are many times that I make a meal plan, and do not make a grocery list, and every time, that is when I don’t follow my meal plan.

Make your meal plan, shop your pantry, make your grocery list, and schedule a day to pick it up/shop!!

I hope you found a dinner idea or two to plan your family’s dinner meals. Let me know if you found this helpful! Share this post to your Pinterest board so you can reference it when you are meal planning!
