Mother’s Day is quickly approaching!! And what do WE really want for Mother’s Day? REST. And as little decision-making as possible. We also probably don’t need more stuff. Don’t know what to get her?
A great alternative to a typical gift is an experience gift! Experience gifts can be a wonderful way to show your mom how much you appreciate her on Mother’s Day.
The biggest tip for you to remember when planning one of these gifts: ALSO PLAN CHILDCARE FOR US!! Take it one step further, and remove the mental load from us for us to figure out when we are going to do something, and also have to find a sitter for the kids. Our partners might not consider childcare coverage as an extra to-do if Mom is always the one who arranges it. You will get huge brownie points for taking this one extra step!
BONUS TIP!
I saw on social a lot of comments of moms wanting alone time on Mother’s Day. Consider planning on you taking the kids out for 2 or 3 hours and leaving Mom home alone to relax and watch a movie by herself! One thing we probably don’t get a lot of is alone time, and many Mom’s won’t ask for it themselves. So, have a cleaning service come on Saturday, and leave Mom home alone to enjoy her clean house on Sunday while you entertain the kids!
Have an idea, but need some additional finessing? Ask her best friend! I promise, her bestie knows what she wants and can help you!
Do you have additional ideas? Comment below and I’ll add them!!
Remember, the best experience gifts are those that cater to your mom’s passions and preferences, so tailor your gift to suit her unique personality and interests. Whatever you choose, the most important thing is to spend quality time together and create cherished memories.
